ABC Waters at Macritchie

Located adjacent to the nature reserves, Mac Ritchie Reservoir is Singapore’s oldest reservoir and can be seen as the gateway to nature. Today, the reservoir remains popular for a host of leisure and sporting activities like walking, jogging, taichi, cross country, canoeing and kayaking. MacRitchie Reservoir holds a special place in the hearts of many Singaporeans and the sensitivity of the eco-system in existence there, works at the reservoir park focused on improvements to the basic infrastructure and amenities of the park. This would provide new opportunities for Singaporeans to mingle and interact and simultaneously form a close bond to nature and water.

Works at MacRitchie Reservoir concentrated mainly on the entrance to the reservoir park and created a gateway to nature. The overall contract period is a total of 9 months. Official Opening of the completion was held on 27th June 2009.

The scope of works covers the construction of the following areas:

• Multi Storey Carpark
• Amenities Centre
• New Event area and landscaping works
• Kayak Launching Deck and Link Bridge
• Modification of existing ingress and egress points affected by the works
• Public Warning System at the Paddle Lodge
